Tragedy Strikes Red Cross Family in Dallas, Texas

The staff and volunteers at the American Red Cross-Dallas Area Chapter are in a state of grief after long-time CPR and First Aid instructor, Mischell Fuller and her 18-year-old daughter, were murdered in an act of violence. Knowing her as a woman who dedicated her life to helping others save lives, the news of her death cut even deeper. "Mischell was one of those great instructors who truly cared about her students," said Mickey Mason, senior director, Preparedness & Training, American Red Cross, Dallas, Texas. "She made sure that when a student finished her class, they would be able to immediately perform CPR or First Aid on anyone who needed it." Having taught thousands of students over her career, no doubt that Mischell did indeed save lives. Sadly, just not her own. "We don't have words for the amount of grief we're in here at the Red Cross," said Mason. "Everyone who knew Mischell loved her and what she stood for. We will miss her with all of our hearts and we will be forever grateful and appreciative to have known her and stood beside her as she served humanity."
