Red Cross Urges Preparedness with New Round of Severe Weather

The American Red Cross continues to work around the clock to bring relief, support and comfort to residents of North Texas affected by this week’s tornadoes. 


We've heard dozens of stories of how people used their wits and preparedness to stay safe during the last round of storms. From putting pots over their heads in bathtubs to finding the smallest closet, people reacted quickly and lives were saved. 

Well, this Easter weekend, forecasters are predicting another round of thunderstorms and we're asking, "what would you do?"


In this video, Anita Foster walks you through the basics of getting together a kit. Take the time today to prepare your family since severe storm season is just beginning and experts are predicting a very active year. 



We also know that being prepared while on the road can be challenging but if you prepare by staying alert of weather forecasts, packing a kit for car and following safety precautions issued for travelers.

The most important thing is, whether you are traveling this Easter or staying home, all Texans should get a kitmake a plan and be informed before the Easter Bunny arrives.
